This unusual project not only includes closing the above-mentioned gap toward the street but also the conversion of a tower bunker inside the block by creating 17 high-quality flats.
The bunker is almost at a right angle to the street and was completed by a narrow building forming the facade and the street entrance front. The perforated facade of the entrance front is broken up by cleverly designed glazed indentations and augmented by a half barrel roof.
The bunker’s concrete base itself was radically changed through multi-storey glazed openings and the structure those broken down into individually usable units.
The mostly one to two-storey lofts’ interior is characterised by white walls, oak parquet and stone tiles, i.e. a discreet elegance.
The high density notwithstanding, a single family home’s advantages are taken into account by gardens, large terraces, quadruples and a quiet and green inner courtyard.
The former foreign body’s conversion closed the urbanistic gap in an impressive fashion.
