This project is an example of the successful interplay of a modern design with the historical fabric of a building. The old farmhouse has been restored under participation of the curators of monuments and modernised, too. A glass annexe closed the gap to the adjacent building and provides an additional exhibition area. The inserted light band in the roof lights the building as necessary and accentuates the roof landscape without breaking up the roof’s basic shape or the historical townscape.
Inside, the combination of old fabric and modern materials creates a modern ambience that lets the listed farmhouse enter the present age.
