Carl-Alexander-Park is an overall concept for the development of the town and landscape on the outskirts of Baesweiler on the site of a former pit within the framework of the EuRegionale 2008.
Visitors will see a great natural and topographical event. An exciting climb leads upon the former tip and via a small bridge (Schwebesteg) and stairs (Himmelstreppe) onto the plateau.
The landscape vein at the tip’s foot is a designed park corridor, a discovery and recreational area regionally connected with the Wurmtal. In it, we find the Bergfoyer, a central meeting and reference point in Carl-Alexander-Park and the gateway to the “schwarzer Berg” (black hill).
