On the southern edge of Rheinbach, the ensemble of buildings of the Glasfachschule forms an urbanistic barrier to the part characterised by single family homes north of it.
Admin and part of the workshops are to be found in plain rectangular structures to the north. In the south, we find a semi-circular complex of buildings.
This part of the site contains a multipurpose building, class rooms and workshops docked to an arch-like connecting building, whose corridors are partly lit by through a glazed roof structure.
The façades are also largely paned, which lends the site a very filigree appearance and inside creates transparent spaces flooded with light.
Slightly vaulted roofs make for a roofscape in harmony with the environment.
