Here, a plain housing estate from the 1950’s was made attractive again by means of an extensive modernisation.
Adding another full storey created additional dwelling space and livened up the roofscape.
The new top storey with its grey colourfulness, a slight recess and the flat slanted pitch roof improve the entire row of houses’ appearance.
Wall noses painted red near the staircases and grey surfaces between the windows accentuate the facade.
The structure is thus broken down and receives modern dimensions.
In conjunction with the activation of the free space through allotments and playgrounds this is an exemplary appreciation of a post-war housing estate.
