The renovation will give the school building from the 1960’s a new and attractive face.
The rather bleak original façade’s facing has been removed and the supporting reinforced concrete construction exposed. The latter, incidentally, will still be bearing the building.
The newly presented timber pillar construction forms the new façade. This will lend the façade, which with its refined design structures the building, a new depth.
The fixed glazing of the large window bands, in combination with the wooden facing, form the outer level within the shell.
The casements, which can be opened, are to be found in pushed-back wooden caissons arranged in a rhythmic interplay, thereby lending the façade its tension.
The appearance is shaped by basalt-grey timbering, lavish window panes and the wooden caissons made of natural-coloured larch wood, with the selected materials underscoring the modern appearance.
